So here it is, my four days off and I am down with strep, congestion, cough, itchy ears, all over body aches and nasal drip!

Thank you to the patient family member on Sunday night who proceeded to spend all night at the nurses station, coughing, snotting and blah blahing at her husband's nurse! We asked her to wear a mask several times, but no, and now I get to sit here and try not to get MY husband sick!

Ugh!

Somewhere along the way a supervisor should have insisted that the family member wear a mask, otherwise be asked to leave.

So sorry this is how you have to spend your time off. It drives me nuts when people don't cover their mouth to cough or sneeze, let alone spread their germs around the nurses station. My husband will sneeze "into the air" but turn away from me and it still drives me nuts because the germs are still not contained. Hope you feel better, use this time to let your hubby pamper you!!!

What makes people think it ok to visit someone in the hospital if they are sick?? I understand if you are the only one or are a parent, but if not - stay home.

Sorry you are sick.

sending some cyber chicken soup your way. Feel better soon.

I'm sorry, Tait. That stinks. That person should never even have been visiting the hospital. Next time if they won't wear a mask I'd ask or have a supervisor ask them to leave. They are a hazard not just to staff but patients. Why would anyone think it's okay to go visit someone ill or injured and further compromise them. Keep you germs at home and while your at it keep the babies and young children there too. Ick. Feel better soon.
