nurshing shortgage documentary

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Hello everyone. This is my first post on this site. I've been reading it for some time. I am considering a nursing career (2nd career--i'm 36). I'm afraid because of all the negative things i hear. But every once in a while someone posts some positive things about nursing. I already started taking my pre-reqs (i have a degree so i just need to take the science courses), and in the meantime, i'm doing some research.

I saw a clip of a documentary on YouTube titled "The nursing shortage: A Crisis in America Healthcare." The producer is Paula Packwood. It is an hour long video but youtube only shows 3 minutes. I'd really like to see the whole thing. I've tried google doing numerous searches and can't find it. It follows a day in the life of a nurse and i'm really interested in watching it. Please help me find it. Or if you know of other such videos that might help me get a realistic view of the nursing world, recommendations would be appreciated.

I also like to see the entire story.

I know! I agree! I bet alot of people would like to see it. The first 3 minutes only served to pique my interest. I tried goggleing it too & haven't come up with anything about how to get the whole video. I would think if it's a documentary, we could find it somewhere.........:uhoh3:

Does it say who produced it?

BTW I will be 39 when I graduate in May and wouldnt change anything for the world. It has been the hardest thing I have ever done but also the best thing I could have ever done!

So if you really want it, GO FOR IT!

I would really like to see this documentary, too. I'd like to see one in which the producers actually talk to nurses and ask us for our views on the whole shortage thing.
