Right now I am requesting some direct, straight to the point opinions. At this time I am only working two 12-hour nights a week (Friday and Sunday 7PM to 7AM), this is after working three 12-hour nights for a year. I'm okay with that, hey it's only 2 nights a week! The situation is that I have four at home in a home education program Monday - Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30PM, trust me they don't stay on task. AND I'm trying to "squeeze" in some time for my clinical exit exam studies. For some reason, I'm pretty much tired ALL THE TIME, so it's affecting my ability to "monitor" my kids progress in their online courses. But according to my husband, working ONLY 2 nights a week shouldn't have me so tired that it throws off everything else I do at home. Is he correct on this matter? Am I making too much of a fuss? Be completely honest

Former night shifter here: what I learned was that I was NEVER functional the day after the night shift. It took me 2 days to recover. And you're doing one day on, one day off, one day on?

So you go in Friday night with as much of a nap as you can squeeze, yes? Sleep during the day Saturday, go back Sunday night and then you have to function with four kids and no sleep Monday morning?

Your husband should try to stay up all night, get as much sleep as possible the next day, be functional, stay up the third night and see how he likes it.

If you say you're too tired, I believe you ...why wouldn't I? You know your ability better than I do.
