New commercial

Has anyone else seen the new commercial that deals with knowing your meds? I don't know who put this commercial out but it is such a good idea and about time! The basic idea of the commercial is a man is talking about taking a cold medicine and a pain reliever, his wife then informs him that the cold medicine already has a pain med in it, it then states a phrase like "know your medicines"

I have seen to many people take an overload of meds that are basically the same thing. I seen a lady take Tylenol extra strength and the take Tylenol PM, she didn't read the labels well she thought the tylenol PM was just a sleep aide, not a pain reliever and a sleep aide.

This commercial is so needed, kudos to those who put it out!! :roll

Iv'e seen it. It's basically an ad for Unysom sleep aid. The company doesn't really care if people know what's in their meds, but they give it a nice try. What they are saying is take this med, it has the dyphenhydramine in it without the Tylenol.

Oh well.

I don't think that's the same ad. Because this one is specific about teaching people to learn their meds and to know what's in it. But hey I could be wrong. Thanks for a response though. :)

All TV commercials are created and displayed with YOUR health in mind. When older Americans, who sometimes watch TV, see the appearance of a doctor, they pay attention, because a doctor is someone who wants to help you. Marcus Welbee, MD I think. Back then (1960's), a doctor on TV was a good thing, and still is.

If it's a different ad then I hope what you say is true. That it is a true public service message. Sometimes I just get so MAD at the media and ads in general that I blow up before I know it.Sorry!

I know what you mean!! I hope it was a commercial at all!! Maybe it was a friend telling me this!! LOL These day who knows? Maybe I should check my meds labels!

Anyhow just kidding, I haven't seen the commercial again yet to tell who it was from. If I do I'll let ya'll know.
