Mystery nursing tool update

Nurses General Nursing

Published

Remember my last post about looking for that hemostat, scissor and it had the curved area for gripping?

I went to the uniform store and talked to the owner. She was approached by a rep that had 10 of them for her store. I bought the last one, I guessover a year ago. The owner said that nobody wanted to pay 10 bucks for it, so she put it in clearance, where I picked it up for 5. The others were sold quickly though.

The store owner wanted to try them again, but couldn't find the rep, so she gave up until now. This wonderful woman hunted this rep down for me who is located in the midwest. The rep said she can send her 5. I'm buying 3 at 13 bucks. Two for me and one for a nurse that has eyeballed mine for a long time. I should get it them 2 weeks.:yeah:

When I do, I will attempt to post a picture on here so you can see it as well, so you can stop thinking I made this thing up.:lol2:

can I order some pls. haha...

I am gathering my tools to start NS in the Spring. I would happily buy one of these tools. Can you place a larger order?

I remember this thread! Somebody thought it was referring to one of the nursing managers....

You didn't get the name of the manufacturer or anything??? UUUUGGGGHHHH!!! You have to get the name of the manufacturer for us so we can all get one!!! Please???

Is it a needle holder rather than a haemostat? We have some needle holders with built in scissors in some of our sets.

I will post a picture and information when I go to pick mine up.

Not thinking its a suture holder either. The ones this store had were prototypes.

Btw the store owner found some cool clamps and scissors. Go to medtool or medtools.com

bump....

cant stop thinking about this post! I want one!

I never thought to even ask who the rep was, I was in a hurry to get in there, get a pr of plain hemostats for the interim and head to the chocolate store next door. :o The store manager said the rep was mailing them from the midwest and they probably would be in mid week at the earliest. I can't pick them up until Friday or Saturday. If they come in later than that, I'll have to wait for another day off. She said she'd hold them for a week. I mean really, she knows I'm good for picking them up. How many other nurses would drive 45 min out of their way to beg information on this silly tool?

But with that being said, I'll get the information and post with picture. I promise!!:)
