Hello my friends

I got a call back from a hospital for 2nd interview. Was surprised and happy because the first interview, I went to drop my resume and they just interview me on the spot. And the questions I was asked was what they call Behavioral Interview ( Google it, I just learn about it) Anyway, they caught me off guard but I must have done good , a month later was called for a second.

My 2nd interview, was with the nurse manager, the only questions she asked me was tell me about your self and what can you offer us. Anyway, I was nervous , but answered the questions with my best of the ability. She said it sounds good and told me about the position ( L & D nurse---which I love) and we talked about vacation time as well. Then she took me and introduce me to other nurses and 2 of the nurses took me around and showed me everything including locker room. Everyone was so nice and smiling.I was so excited and happy even too come this far. This hospital is one of Newyork finest private hospital and I am just blown away they are considering me with my ADN and new grad status.

Finally the manager come and get me , asked me if I have any questions , I asked her a couple of questions. Then we were done so she said , Well I still have to do a few interview and recruitment will contact you in a week. Anyway that was it, I send her thank you note once I got home and my desire to work there...etc.

Anyway, what does it mean???? I never reached to interview where they gave me a tour. I know I should be patient but I can't sleep and eat. Can I perdict anything, would they gave a tour and introduction for nothing??? I just want somebody to tell me something. I swear I am struck with anxiety. Please just say something to me , those of you with experience.

Thanks

Hey- I am a Healthcare Recruiter with an opening for a PACU Nurse in Staten Island. If anyone is interested or knows someone who might be please have them contact me, it is a great opportunity!

Awe.. I would loved to, but I am in Cali. However, since your a recruiter maybe you can tell us what is it that many of you are looking for now before sending the applications to the unit manager? I have been looking for a bout a month now and still no luck in any call for even an interview. I dont know if it is my work history, lack of experience (new grad) or my resume that is not making me stand out so you help would be much appreciated.

So did you get the jobs after the tour? By the way the first interview was at the office from a HR that was a walk in, the 2nd interview was with the manager , they actually called me and made an appointment.

I've also had tours with most of my interviews. Nope, didn't get the jobs.

The job offer I did get, no tour was given because I will be working out of several units.

Thanks CathyLew, Yes I am thinking positively even mark my calender October 12, because that will be the day they said I will start if I am offered the position:D.

I was just wondering if Floor Tour have a special meaning? Since especially it was after the interview.

No, not especially. It means they're not rejecting you out of hand, but it's certainly not a guarantee of anything.

Hell, I had a clinic tell me I was on the top of their list of candidates and she wanted me to come in and shadow another nurse, and I still didn't get a job offer.

So basically, you can't assume anything until you actually get an official job offer.

Oh, heck. This thread is two years old!!

There should be some kind of lock on threads that haven't had a response in 12 months.

Now if I do not hear from them by tomorrow , what do I do? Of course call them is the first in mind , but If I have to call them and remind them for a response

You should call them and say "Do not ignore me!!"
