Nurses General Nursing

Medscape.com has an app that was upgraded last month, and it a super resource for anyone with an iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Blackberry, or Android. It has a drug reference, drug interaction checker, protocol and procedure reference, disease and condition reference, and of course all the news, articles, and CEUs from the website. The drug reference, interaction checker and disease and condition reference are downloadable, so they can be accessed regardless of whether you are in a location with wifi or 3G.

I'm not a huge fan of the medical apps, but I really like this one. I wish it had a lab reference in it; otherwise it is incredibly comprehensive. I've never seen one with a protocol and procedure reference before.

I'm not sure if it was free before; but it's free right now.

Thanks for the info

I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago. Nice to have something with so much potential to be free. Thanks for posting.

I think I've had mine on my itouch for maybe close to a year now. It sure is a good one. Also you can download Micromedex which is commonly used at some big facilities, it's free too. I also have the free "student" version of Epocrates ever since I used it in school, still got it never upgraded. I have Davis Drug guide, which, I had initially paid for then let go due to some severe software issues they were having. Still use the older version, because it has a lot of nursing administration-type info on it that the other ones don't have.
