  1. I meant to type " none of the ER staff seem to act like you are seeking drugs" you just assumed it .
  2. Write a letter to the president?? exactly what are u offended about. From what you typed.. none of the ER staff seem to act like you are seeking drugs" you just assumed it. And i hope u are not mad because the nurse did not get you water on time...It's ER not hotel. I actually think you got good treatment from the ER. The doc even included you in the care plan. you had CT done-negative, pain med given and also prescribed and nausea med given. Personally I wish nurses will act like a patient for once when they go for medical treatment instead most act like they know more than the doc and want to treatments their way. sometimes act very rude. And ...I agree with what Dixie said also. No need to write letter.
  3. Ahinto your specialty is med/surg...yep Med/surg
  4. Med/surg nurse here!! Kudos to all Nurses..Nursing is hard enough and whatever specialty we chose we all serving one purpose saving lives.

Big Congrat !!! I adore L & D nurses. When I had my first baby this particular nurse I can't never forget her cuz she helped me so much during delivery and after.
  6. OK maybe this thread should be deleted...obviously this is ******* 80% of nurses here off. I don't know maybe people are reading too much into the topic. Too me I feel like we all have funny story to tell that may not even relate to our pt's condition. like when a pt told a CNA " Please tell my nurse i may not have BM today but i've been having juicy fart all day. I had asked him when was the last time he had BM and he said couple of days ago.
  7. Yes Dhamm. and if RN have to push it then the MD must be in the room. it sounds crazy to me also but hey I got to follow the rule.
  8. wow. I trully can not imagine doing code on peds...adult yes and that's still breaks my heart ...but peds oh.. but it must be done.
  9. Oh jeez its just story that makes u go wow....not like im here laughing my gut off about the story.
  10. My first Assessment on a pt with plenty of warts around his orifice. It grossed me out so much that i didnt have apetitie for a week.
  11. I owe 60k for my undergrad. im not not happy but its worth it.
  12. Big hospitals in Dallas medical center will prefer BSN, but you can get by with ADN at small private hopstals.
  13. sugar you live in Dallas now right? With BSN degree in Dallas you can't go without a job...hello you are in nursing field...job oppurtunity is there. you might not get the specialty you want right a away but you will get job some where.
  14. What LPN can push or cannot push depend on the hospital you work at. The hospital that I work the only iv meds LPN cannot push are those that require mixing such as protonix or very lethal iv med like metoprolol iv even RN cannot push that on reg med surg floor...so I will advice you to check your hospital policy.
  15. I think big cities in Texas Prefer BSN, but small town or State dont mind if you have ADN or even Diploma as long you an RN you are good to go. If you have the time to invest and money I think BSN is way to go.
