hey there people...i am on a mission, especially as the secretary of my particular nursing school class, and the one who is supposed to locate everyone for a reunion (while i can still cognitively operate:) )...i was just wondering if anyone here on the boards either intentionally or accidentally ever located someone they went to school with or worked with early in their career...i know most people may not jell with the idea of including where they went to school, but i am game, in case anyone out there attended the same school. once i thought about this some more, i was curious to know where people went to school...if anyone would like to include their school here, please feel free....i attended new england deaconess hospital school of nursing, and graduated in (gulp) 1981....if there are any "deaconoids" out there, please feel free to get in touch..

Many states have licensure verification websites where you can look up info for health professionals. I have located one or two former classmates and coworkers from this. It was good to get back in touch with them.
You might also check with the alumni office at the school/college/university that you attended.

The UK has "Friends Reunited" and "Nurses Reunited" there are probably others. It's a social phenomenon! You want to see how those losers at school got on, but they never register!
Hi there everyone... I have tried all the suggestions in the past. Unfortunately, the nursing school I attended no longer exists, and some states licence boards won't give you info due to privacy....I have tried classmates . com, but no one in my class besides myself has registered......The difficulty for me is that many of them have married and or divorced since leaving, so I don't know their current last names...Only 2 guys in my classs, and both of them have common names...Will keep you posted but if anyone recognizes a classmate of theirs, or one of mine, please let me know! Thanks!

Hi:
I believe the best web site would be
http://www.classmates.com.
It covers every state in the US. After
posting your school on the web, write
to your school and ask them to post
this information on their bulletin board.
You'd be surprised how quickly alumni
will contact each other and start posting
on the web site.
Good Luck !!

Thanks..I will try them again!
Your Welcome
I ran reunions for twenty years. You only need to let a few people know your intentions, and the next thing you know,
you have more than you can handle.
Don't expect too much on your first attempt, and don't get discouraged. You need time for the word to get out.
Good Luck !!!!

Have you considered placing a small notice in the paper of the town your school was located in looking for the class to contact you? Even if people have moved away they may have relatives that may see it and pass along the note.
GOOD IDEA !!
That IS a great idea! We will see what Boston has to offer in that area. Years ago I tried to locate a friend that I had worked with and knew the area she was from. Sent an inquiry to her local area paper and someone saw it, called me and this friend and I resumed contact.....
