I am trying to find one of these types of symposiums, I need more ceu's to count towards CEN renewal. I am willing to go to any of the following areas. Cleveland, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Erie, Buffalo, Rochester, Detroit, Toledo.
If must be, at a stretch, Syracuse, Albany, Cincinati, Chicago.
Thanks

I got a bunch of my CEUs online. Are you an ER nurse? Check with the AHEC near you. (Area Health Education Center) they should have a list of those offering courses. Check with the Universities that have nursing schools. If you are a member of a nursing organization they also usually send out brochures of local offerings. Good luck....PS how many do you need and in what period of time? Ours is 100 in 5 years. I've chosen to retake the exam 3 times now...it's cheaper.

Rick, isn't there an "Emergency Nurses' Association" or something like that? I get information from the Critical Care Nurses Association on CEUs. There's a hemodynamic monitoring symposium in Sept. that I want to go to in Pittsburgh...don't suppose that counts for CEN, though, does it? How much of your CEUs have to be ER-specific? The publishers of Nursing2001 offer online credits (springhouse? springfield? something like that). Does your facility pay for you to maintain your status? (Mine doesn't.)

Rick:
One of the best CEU progams is Trends in Trauma/Critical Care sposored by MCP/Hahneuman University ans SEPA chapter AACN. I have attended it many times and learn something new. Link below for all of MCP programs and courses.

Actually Zee those would count also. Beleive it or not! Thanks for all the other input! The test may be cheaper, but its a hassle. Besides more knowledge is never a bad thing, and it gets me out of the house :)
Anyone else?
