Cleveland Area Nurses?

Nurses General Nursing

Published

hi, i am a new student nurse and i am looking for other nurses in the cleveland area.

i need to do some shadowing and i would like to do it in an area that is actually something i'm interested in, instead of following around a nurses in an area where i know i won't end up working.

if you are a legal nurse, forensic nurse, case manager, psych, peds, nicu/picu nurse and you would be willing to let me shadow you, would you please resond to this so that we can talk?

i'm not sure exactly what i would like to specialize in, but those are some of the areas i'm interested in seeing first hand. i need more information and advice on what to do with my degree other than floor nursing (i'm just not sure its for me).

i appreciate anyone who answers! thanks for your time!

You should talk to your student advisor or instuctors...they usually set up students shadowing us at work and it is part of their curriculum. For example, students in either peds or OB rotations will shadow a NICU nurse for 4-6 hours. Good Luck!

I am a SICU nurse in Mansfield... I would recommend calling a hospital in your area such as Rainbow Babies and asking them if they let students come in and shadow a nurse for a day. I know that a lot of hospitals will do that.

Thanks, I will do that. I'm still looking for Legal Nurses, Forensic Nurses, etc. Seems there aren't many in this area...or I just can't find any!

Have a nice Thanksgiving!

I agree with the RAINBOW hospital idea.Or Cleveland Clinic. They are both world reknowned hospitals and im sure you can find a wonderful preceptor to help you get on your way to what you truly like.Good luck!

The reason I suggested going thru your school is because if you go during a rotation, you can also get a little hands on with VS and feeding and holding stable kids in the NICU. I know that Case Students and Tri C students have to go thru their schools to get in to shadow. I work at one of the World Renowned and this is the procedure.
