Are you a nurse that wants to transition to medical school?

Before I get devoured by the masses, I am not a traitor. I love nursing but I have two loves. I honestly want to be a doctor. I am not looking for anyone to convince to become a NP. I know what I want. I want to go to medical school. I am looking for nurses or nursing students who are motivated and want to study for the MCAT together I was hoping to either take it in July/August 2016 or 2017. Since we are few I was thinking we should stick together. We can do it. If interested leave your email or send me a message or any thoughts on your journey!

I've always said that after working with my BSN for a few years I would go back to school to become a PA, possibly. Simply because of where I want to work later in life.

However that won't be until my daughter is much much older! But it's nice to see I'm not the only one going from nursing to medical down the line. :) Good luck!! Keep us updated (:

I had a coworker who double majored in bio and nursing. We were new grads in the ICU together. She took her MCAT that year and was accepted to med school at the end of her second year. Mom and dad had offered to pay for bachelors only and she was allowed to stay at home and sock away all her RN wages. Very bright woman. She was able to pay for half of medial school with that and i believe shes is now in her last year of ER residency. I think she was very smart with how she did it and will be an amazing physician. But that's not a feasible route for most.
