All, I got this today. I was sure that the world's greatest nursing community would have something useful to add to the conversation. As far as I know, you do not need to be an ANA member to participate.
I have participated in some of their other panels and found it to be a very interesting process.

[TD=class: td1]The American Nurses Association (ANA) is seeking applications for its Nurse Fatigue Professional Issues Panel during the month of June 2013. This panel will focus on nurse fatigue in order to promote health and safety for both patients and nurses. Time commitment for the Steering Committee includes participation on monthly conference calls for approximately six months along with email dialogue. The Advisory Committee will be consulted via email and possibly conference calls.
ANA is looking for up to 15 Steering Committee members with the following types of experience and interest:

Applicants not selected for the Nurse Fatigue Professional Issues Panel Steering Committee will be included on the Advisory Committee associated with this panel. Is that a blend of fatigue and fugue??? ;~)
Yeah, I think some of us have experienced that state every now and then during trying shifts.

I was interested, but you have to be an ANA member, so that scotched it for me.
