Reconstitution of India Ink

Hi All, I have moved to the East Coast and in the Midwest used a product called Spot for marking the lining of the colon. The India ink was prefilled. Now I have to reconstitute it when I need it. It comes in a capsule 0.5 cc. The pharmacist has me using o.9 to prepare for injection. What is everybody else using to mark the colon? Prefilled or doing the mixing your self? Also what are your specific guidelines for preparation of India ink. Thanks!

We use india ink that is already mixed but we used to have to reconstitute it, we mixed it with 0.9 ns

We use prefilled at our gi lab here in Arkansas.

We also use the same Spot prefilled product that you mentioned. It's just so much more easy to use. Perhaps you can persuade your new site that they should get a demonstration on the Spot product and perhaps they will be convinced too. Good luck.

We use SPOT too. Mixing that india ink is nasty. I'd say make yourself a hero and introduce your new unit to SPOT! :coollook:

we use spot now. In the past we used india ink, but the Doctor had to order it 24 hours in advance from Pharmacy!!!! Imagine that.

Hi...I work as an Endo nurse and have no clue where to find India Ink (Spot)...all of our suppliers have no clue what in the world I am talking about...can you help me?
