  1. Good for you, and enjoy the PDA, I love mine. I finish in one month!!! You can do it. Luanne
  2. Check your hosptal policy and your state nurse practice act. We use it for Endoscopy, but there must be one RN to monitor and one RN/Tech to assist, Minimum of three in the room, and all emergency equipment must be avsilable.
  3. Don't give up. We all need to vent from time to time. I love nursing. I became an RN at age 32 with my Associates degree. At age 38 I finished my BSN. In 1 1/2 months I will finsh my MSN / Adult Nurse Practitioner. My daughter is in Nursing school and I support and encourage her. It is a great career. According to Martha Rogers "nursing is a learned profession, both a science and an art", this is so true. Luanne
  4. Congratulations to both of you. Luanne
  5. I will be graduating in May, Adult NP. I was thinking of signing up for both exams. Any advice would be appreciated. Luanne
  6. I graduate this May and I feel the same way. I sure hope the review course and studying for the exam will help bring things together for me. Hang in there. Luanne
  7. I just finished my third semester and I can honestly say I do not like the theory component. Next semester I start Research and that really scares me. I am in the Adult NP program, online and my clinicals are arranged in the area I live in. I cannot believe I am halfway through. Luanne
  8. I am 48 and should graduate from my MSN/NP program in May 2007 when I am 49!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go for it. Luanne
  9. Hi Emma, I have been a nurse for 15 years and am now in a Masters/NP program. I am doing the Seton Hall University program and my clinicals are all in my local area and the lectures are online. There are peolple from many different states in my program. We have to physically be on campus for three weekends. PM me if you want. You can check out the website http://WWW.SHU.EDU. Luanne
  10. I am just starting my 3rd semester at Seton Hall. My clinicals are in the area I live. PM me if you want more nfo. Luanne
  11. Best of luck to you. I personally would not take pain meds before telephone triage. Luanne
  12. Definitely report it. What happens when she hits again and is not on probation? Then it is next to imposssible of get rid of someone. Luanne
  13. I took the MAT. I studied the tips they gave in the Barons book and did OK. I think the GRE would have been much harder.
  14. Wow, I'm sorry you had to experience that. I'm surprised they didn't keep the patient in the ER with a 1:1 (including security) until placement was found at a psych facility. What kind of attending admitted the patient? Luanne
