  1. I am a FNP. I work in an endocrinologist's office and specialize in diabetes but of course all things endo!! I only personally know of certifications as a clinical diabetes specialist but I don't think they have Rx privileges. I found my job after graduating and working a year in another specialty. Personally I find the family training very useful in my practice. I work in a practice where it is just the MD and myself. Good luck!
  2. Congratulations!!!!!!!! Gosh, I was hoping I would get them sooner. I'm leaving for a conference on Wednesday and was hoping I would know by then. I have a back up plan though my best friend is going to check my mail and let me know. I told her I'm entrusting her with my life letting her open my results!!! As my husband is going with me to the conference. I really wish the ANCC would do as the AANP and give preliminary results onscreen at the end of the exam. By the way, how did you feel after you took the exam? Did you feel as if you passed or not a clue?
  3. Thanks! I think you might want to give ANCC a call, it should not take over a month. Mine was approximately 3 weeks. I called them and they were very nice and answered all my questions. They suggested that if I hadn't heard by a certain date to call them back. I took the Necessary NP review and found her teaching method helpful in remembering things. The Fitzgerald syllabus and CDs from the course (I ordered online, did not attend review) I felt were very helpful. I would definitely recommend that. I wanted to get two points of view. The exam was not as bad as I thought it would be. I'm almost afraid to say I feel good about it not wanting to jinx myself:bugeyes:
  4. :monkeydance: I would like to know how soon others have received their results from the ANCC; I took the FNP exam yesterday (Thursday). Just wanted to get some idea of when to expect them, someone told me they heard of someone getting their results in 4 days,if anyone did get their results in 4 days, was that "real" days or "business days" ? Thanks
  5. Hi Thanks for responding!!! Your info makes me feel better. I've been using Fitzgerald's review book and another author's book of questions. I take the exam next Thursday and I'm sure I'm going to have an ulcer by then!!! I hope I'll have my results by the next Monday, the waiting is the worst. I'm sorry you don't have a position yet, it is hard to find a good position straight out of school. I realize how fortunate I am to have a job, but at the same time I feel so much added pressure to pass. Have you tried Indeed.com (I think that's right)? They have a website that you can sign up for and they will email you everyday with new job openings in your area. I have seen lots of good job offers where I live. Good luck
  6. Hello Everyone! New to the forum! Wanted to ask if anyone has recently taken the ANCC FNP exam. I graduated in December and am going to test in a little less than 4 weeks and I'm freaking out!:monkeydance: I was hoping someone may have some suggestions as far as studying goes. I have the Fitzgerald CD's the syllabus that came with those as well as her review book. Also, wanted to know how long it takes to get results. Thanks in advance for any help. I have a job that is dependent on my passing, they are ready for me to work. I would just die if I failed.
