  1. We get $5 hr to carry beeper time & a half when called in 1/2 hr travel time and get paid for 2 hrs minimum.....
  2. We use india ink that is already mixed but we used to have to reconstitute it, we mixed it with 0.9 ns
  3. I have worked at my current hospitals endoscopy unit for 2 years and have done a blakemor tube 3 times!!! I remember iced saline lavages for gi bleeders. I remember using dakens solution for bedsores. I also recall cantor tubes suction EKG leads, when PEA was called EMD. MAN IM GETTIN OLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. At my hospital the doc who does EUS'S uses Demerol and Versed and I have not really had a problem. As for ERCP's I have done them with Fentanyl /Versed, Demerol/Vresed and Fentanyl/Valium I have had both good and bad experiences, some docs do use anesthesia dept who does them under general anesthesia. If I was having an ERCP I would have it that way.
  5. The hospital I work at only has private rooms.... The CEO feels that if the patients are being charged for a room that costs as much if not more than an upscale hotel room a night they should have a private room
