UCF- Accelerated BSN Starting Summer 2012

U.S.A. Florida

Anyone applying for UCF's accelerated BSN program beginning in Summer 2012?

Deadline to apply is tomorrow.... everyone get their apps in?

Now, time to let the waiting begin!

I'm already getting impatient....it's only been 3 days...anyone else feel that way :)

YES! :) I feel the same way. Please let the next 6 weeks fly by, lol.

It feels like it has been months since the Jan 15th deadline has passed...:( so we get our acceptance/denied letters through our knights email account correct? or is it mailed to us?

The UCF website says it takes 6-8 weeks for a decision letter to be mailed. 6-8 weeks? Really? I get it, there are a TON of applicants...but when you decide someone is a no can't you just tell them then? I guess I'm just being pessimistic.....I applied to 6 schools, and I think the waiting game might kill me before school ever starts

I was told that it would be via email, not snail mail. Also, a little tidbit from the advisor- they always send the emails on a Friday. So, it should be March 2/9/16... one of those Fridays. So... we all keep waiting and waiting!

This is the ONLY program I've applied for. Because of my family, I can't relocate for school. So I am crossing everything I can cross, and hoping the month of February flies by as quickly as possible.

Oh thanks for that tidbit about the fridays... :) this program is def my #1 choice too so lets try to keep busy this month and hope for the best!

Hello All,

I am currently in the UCF Accel Program counting down the days til August and graduation. As far as getting your acceptance, you get them by email. I don't know for sure if they always go out on Friday but that's when they went out last year. I got my email on Friday, March 4 at 4:59. Good luck to you all!

hkk1895: If you don't mind me asking, how do you like the program? Are you as impressed with it after having gone through it (almost done... August will be here before you know it!) ?

hkk1895: would you happen to know the statistics for gpa and teas scores for the accepted few of summer 2011?

I can't really say I "like" it. It is the hardest thing I've ever done. I spend almost every waking moment studying but I hope in the end it all pays off. Some classes and professors are better than others (like in any college program). I am very surprised by the amount of people who have dropped or failed out though. Feel free to ask me any questions you have.

I don't know statistics and as far as I know they don't publish or advertise them.
