SPC spring 2012 applicants!

U.S.A. Florida

I have been looking to see if there are any threads about this already so I apologize if this is a double post!

Anyone apply for spring 2012 at St Petersburg College?

This is what I understand from LPN's or ptec lpn students that I am taking pre reqs with...... The lpn-rn bridge is first come first served if you have an lpn license then you go straight into the program. No competition or anything.

I am going to post this on all three SPC threads......Anyone know if there is any way we can consolidate them?

Maybe I was wrong! I just got my acceptance letter!!! I start the LPN-RN bridge program in May. :yeah: OMG I am soooo happy!!!!!

Yay congrats!!! Best of luck to you!

That's super! Anyone else get letters in the mail yet????:D

I have applied for the Spring 2012 regular Nursing program and the wait is killing me!

Fingers-crossed on getting a letter today in the mail.

Goodluck to everyone!

Finally.....it happened... I GOT ACCEPTED!!!

So I got my email today (on my SPC email). I start the AS Nursing program Jan 2012. I have all classes complete with a 3.666 gpa! good luck everyone!!! : )

That's realy awesome for those who have gotten in; I was denied yet again so I'm heading for an LPN program. Early on I took a C and now it has bit me in the end...I'm not giving up on my dreams--keeping my eye on the prize!! Good luck to all..I wish you all the best!!

I did not get a letter today BUT did get an email stating that I was selected as an alternate.... That stinks but I can still hope for an opening.

Congrats to those that made it in!!!

And mommie_of_four... you can replace that C IF you take the class at another college such as Hillsborough Community College. I was told that 2 semesters ago at HEC but I would check with them again. Tammy Cappleman is the counselor that I like to talk to there. I you can get an A in the class that you had a C in... it might help raise your GPA enough to get in.

I received my email today...as expected, I wasn't accepted as I'm still taking Micro and Stats. Congrats to everyone who have been accepted!!!

Here are the stats that were included in the email:

The applicant pool consisted of four hundred ninety nine applicants and was very competitive. The average grade point average for those selected was a 3.77 which includes an average of 29.6 of the 30 general education and support course credits from the nursing curriculum completed.

I didn't get in. Recalculated my gpa had I only have a 3.608 and am still taking micro and religion. Congrats everyone who got in!

Hi all.

I got my acceptance letter yesterday. :D Came in my school email. I had to read it a couple of times before I realized what it was.

Good luck to everyone who is still waiting. For those who got turned down - keep trying. Don't give up! :-)
