I have been looking to see if there are any threads about this already so I apologize if this is a double post!
Anyone apply for spring 2012 at St Petersburg College?
here's a link that will help you find an american heart association cpr training center: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/classConnector.jsp?pid=ahaweb.classconnector.options&_requestid=168200
I'm so excited!
selected as an alternate too! 3.64 w/all my prerequisites done. Has anyone heard when the orientation is? I got a letter yesterday saying they will send the letter through spc e-mail but I haven't received anything yet. I hope enough of the "chosen ones" decided to go elsewhere!
I got in!! Everyone chosen as an alternate: don't give up hope!
Can someone who was accepted into the Jan 2012 program tell me what their acceptance letter stated? I thought I was accepted into the May 2012 LPN-RN program but now I am started to freak out because I just got a denial letter for "Spring 2012". Please tell me that is for the Jan 2012 start date. I did email SPC to find out but that could take a few days.
I am just seeing if the acceptance letter I got for May 2012 is legit. OR if I interpreted it incorrectly.
freaking out a bit.

freaking out a bit.
gatoraimsLPN; I would go to the nursing school to ask an adviser. You can try calling, but you'll have better luck going in person. They can pull up your student ID and tell you if you have a seat or not!
Try not to freak out!
RyGuyFL - I got my acceptance letter through SPC e-mail. My alternate letter said I would be notified about an informal meeting for all alternates so that's what I was looking for. When I got my acceptance letter, I couldn't believe it! I called the school to verify. The remaining alternates still have a chance. Any seats not taken by January will be filled by alternates. Don't give up yet! Is your GPA good? Have you finished the pre classes?
Congrats to all who got in, and good luck to those still waiting!! If you're looking for a CPR class call the school because I believe they hold a CPR class once a month, or know of someone that does it once a month. St. Anthony's also has CPR classes available. The biggest thing with level 1 is time management - you learn to work ahead and not fall behind you'll be fine. The first few weeks are overwhelming but then you get accustomed to the pace of the classes and tests. Best of luck to everyone!!
