Seminole State College of Florida Generic RN track Fall 2013

U.S.A. Florida

I'm starting this thread for those of us who applied to the Generic RN track for Fall 2013. I am anxiously awaiting a response from SSC. I am a little bummed that my TEAS score wasn't high enough to apply to the SSC/UCF concurrent program. I would love for everyone to reply to this thread once acceptance emails and/or denial letters arrive. Thanks!

I applied! Bummed that my teas score as well wasn't high enough to attempt acceptance for the concurrent. Hopefully we do not have much longer to wait.

I know! My TEAS score was only a 73. My GPA is 3.5, and pre-req GPA is 3.7. I didn't finish my last pre-req until the Fall of 2012. I keep hearing that they are 2 years behind. I spoke with a girl at school that finished her pre-reqs in the summer of 2010, and still hasn't been accepted. This will be her third application into both the generic and concurrent. She has been scoring in the 80's on her TEAS exam. I am so nervous. If I don't get accepted in to the generic track for the Fall of this year, then I am going to study my butt off to get a higher TEAS score over the summer so I can apply to the concurrent program for Spring of 2014. What about you? Is the this first time applying? When did you finish your pre-reqs?

I only scored a 76 on the teas. I finished my last pre req in 2003 - went on to get my bachelors in health admin - and went that route for a career. I've always wanted to be a nurse, so I'm praying that God sees fit to see me in a program.

Don't fret! You have great stats!

Just received an email stating that I was not accepted into the Seminole State Generic RN program. Apparently, the applicants who qualified finished their pre-reqs prior to the Fall of 2011 :(

I got in the waitpool so there's still hope fo me! For those who got accepted, could you let me know the specific requirements you have to turn in such CPR, vaccines etc so I can get started on them?

Thanks and congrats to all accepted!

Congrats rn-in-progress2013! When did you finish your pre-reqs?

I didn't get in either dreemcandee :( Keep on trucking and trying.

Hi - I realize this is an older thread, but was wondering about the requirements as well, like what vaccines are needed to enter the program? Did you ever find out? Thanks for your response!
