Remington College of Nursing Summer 2013

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hello everyone,

I have not seen any recent postings. I was wondering if who else has been admitted to the Summer 2013 term at RCON? Look forward to some responses. :)

@lesjoy333

Hey!! I'm starting Remington's program in July, I'm from New York and I plan on coming back to NY once I graduate. I heard so many mixed things about the program from blogs and different sites, it made me question if I should even go. I called up both state boards and asked questions regarding accreditation and the NCLEX. I heard good things from both. Good luck with your decision!!

I just got accepted, looking forward to orientation. Everyone have a safe trip down.

I was so excited about remington until I found out it was only nationally accredited. Has anyone asked or heard if they're planning ot get their regional? I've emailed but haven't gotten a response back from Remington.

when is the final day you need to tell them if you are going or not?

Because Remington school of nursing is under the umbrella of all the other Remington campuses they are having a hard time getting regional accreditation because all of the other campuses would need to be accredited. This is what was explained to me by the admissions coordinator at Remington when I interviewed. Hope this helps!

It is very demanding because you have to get into the groove of things and understand how teachers teach which may be difficult at first. There are ppl who work but a job may not be for everyone. I know I take my time when I study so working was not feasable for me. Each semester is different in terms of difficulty. Semester 1 is very much busy work, semester 2 is less work, semester 3 we have a huge paper in addition to all the other work/papers and in semester 4 you spend the first 6 weeks taking 2-3 tests almost everyday. Basically its doable but depending on the person.

Hi everyone! I'll be starting Remington next month as well! ckck25, would you mind shedding some light on the demands of the program? Would it be unrealistic to hold a weekend job as well?

Hello thank you so much for your post!! A bed already down there would be a huge help because I am planning on flying from

Michigan. I also would really really appreciate some overall insight about how you feel about the program? Do you recommend it or not? I have narrowed it down to two nursing school. An accelerated second degree program at Northern Kentucky University or Remington's problem. I would really appreciate any help. I feel like am making the hardest decision of my life! Do you plan to take your state boards and live in Florida? Thank you very much!

I do like the program. The teachers are nice but the dean can be insensitive. The main downside is the cost. But if you put in the time you can really take a lot from the program. The teachers are what makes the school enjoyable. I reccommend the program if yo are wiling to put in the work.

I am going to move to Orlando. I plan on going home until NCLEX and hopefully relocate here.

Hey, I was actually thinking of living at Pebble Creek, how do you like living there, would you recommend it?

Pebble Creek is nice because the staff knows Remington students move here a lot and they try to put you in quite rooms facing the lake or woods. Its convenient b/c its down the block fm school and across the street from Publix, Target and a lot of other stores.

I'm new to allnurses and I've read through this thread a little bit. I just wanted to ask from those of you that were accepted what was you gpa and teas. And also what was your personal statement like? I have an 2.9 GPA and 3.5 science GPA. BUT I havent taken the teas yet and I still have to take A&P 2 this fall. I was hoping to apply for the January class. What do you think my chances are? Thanks soooo much for reading and for any replies!

If anyone is looking or knows someone looking for housing, I rent month to month. I am close to both Remington and CFRH , one of the clinical sits. The house has other students, nursing and non nursing. I am a graduate of Remington and on to my masters. This house is safe and welcoming. Month to month with all utilities included.

You may text 4072196137 if interested.

I wanted to know more information on the housing but the number you provided doesnt work. Please email me if you see this I just got accepted to Remington and is looking for a place to stay: [email protected]
