  1. Because Remington school of nursing is under the umbrella of all the other Remington campuses they are having a hard time getting regional accreditation because all of the other campuses would need to be accredited. This is what was explained to me by the admissions coordinator at Remington when I interviewed. Hope this helps!
  2. 1. If you want to get to 15 posts just find a topic to congratulate somebody or give tips for studying. 2. Would anyone want to start a Facebook group? I saw they had one for the last class
  3. Yeah I agree that a social media group would be beneficial, but to create a group we would need to get members information. You have to post 15 times before you can get the private message option. Let me know if anyone gets that ability and then we can set something up.
  4. I asked that same question in the interview. RCON probably won't get regional accreditation anytime soon because it falls under the umbrella of all the Remington schools, which means that every school in every state would have to become regionally accredited. This was how they explained it to me at least.
  5. Yeah I had to enlist the help of my mom and dad too. Is anybody planning on living at Colonial Grand at Town park? I'm freaking out a little bit because I took A&P over a year ago and have forgotten several bits of information? Is anyone in the same boat?
  6. A really solid interview can go a long way in making up for an average gpa.
  7. Study groups are an excellent way to do it if everyone in the group needs help with the same areas. They can also be a distraction. I had a 3.97 science gpa by reading and re-reading things several times. Repetition was key for me.
  8. Where in NY are you coming from? I'm driving down from Long Island on July 2 and I'm dreading it...
  9. I went through nso.com. I have a pre-existing condition that is not covered under "normal" plans, but I was able to work with an agent to find one that would cover me.
  10. If you graduate at 25 or 27 you'll still have plenty of time in the workforce. Don't rush it and good luck!
  11. My science GPA was a 3.97 and my Teas was an 81.3. I had absolutely no experience in direct healthcare, but I did work with developmentally disabled adults for the past 5 years performing ADL's on a daily basis. I'm moving from Ny to live in Colonial Grand at Town park. Does anyone know what the daily schedules will look like or why orientation is 2 days long?
  12. I will be living in Colonial Grand at town park. I haven't been down to see it, but it seems to be in a good location and only about 5 minutes from the school.
  13. I'm originally from Jamestown, Ny near Buffalo but I did my undergrad in Plattsburgh until I moved to Long Island. I'm going to be living with my wife, who is going to be 5 months pregnant in January so we're not looking for a roommate sorry... Did you contact the students that lived in Pebble creek? Any idea how much utilities are down there like water and electric? I live in an apartment in a house and everything is included in the price so I've never had to deal with separate bills. I did get the list from the school and have been looking at Colonial Grand at Townpark and Legends, but they are on the high end of what I would be comfortable paying. I contacted Pebble Creek, but still waiting for them to call me back. How are you getting all of your stuff down there?
  14. I had my phone interview September 20th and they sent out my early admission acceptance letter on September 26th. I was told before I was accepted that they would send out my letter quickly because I was from out of state, NY, so that I would have time to find living arrangements. Teas 84 Science GPA 3.9 Overall GPA 3.1 Good luck to everyone! Where is everyone looking to live? I have never been to this area of florida so I'm not sure what neighborhoods I should be looking in. Any advice would be welcomed!
  15. Has anyone applied for Early Admission for the class starting in January 2013? Have you heard anything?
