Anyone out there planning on going to Orlando Tech for their LPN starting in August? I'm currently in the process of applying for the daytime program, but I feel very in the dark. I went to the orientation, I've sent in my online application, and have heard nothing since. I called and left a message for someone in I think nursing admissions (I got transferred a few times) regarding the next steps. I'd love to meet some people that are going through the process currently, or have done it recently and give me some pointers!
Ah yeah it was annoying they asked weird questions that weren't that close to what was in the book but i passed today so I got the packet and doing all I need to do. They just give you forms to take to the dentist and doctor to fill out. I just have to get. A tb test and the cleaning I'm doing Tuesday. Also need hs transcripts. Hoping to be done with it all by middle of next week. Hope you pass next week!
Thanks! The packet has forms you take to the doctor/nurse to fill out just immunizations. Same with dentist like I'm going for a normal cleaning and they will fill it out. It has 2 reference papers for non family members to fill out. So the best I think you can do is get a copy of your immunizations you've gotten so you know what you'll need to get(I just had to get the tb shot. And I'm getting it read today and going to the dentist tomorrow) and you need your highschool or college official transcript. This is another tricky part because you have to wait so I would try and get ahold of that. It doesn't matter which one they just want to verify that you have the high school diploma. And they will do a background check so that has to be clear. And if you have the CNA license you'll just start about 3-6 weeks later. I was thinking about getting this license to work as a CNA during the program and I was hoping it would shorten the length of the program so id end it sooner but I guess you just start later. Anyways good luck every one! Oh for the second time I had the McGraw book that has the 5 practice tests and the actual study guide. The first time I took it I didn't even take any time to study I was too worried about the math but this time I did all practice tests and read through the ati book and got an 86.
