Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

Not sure about graduation day : /

Now that you mention that I am not sure when would graduation be for the Spring cohort. We can ask on orientation day. Lol

Hi guys, I'm so happy that I get a chance to interact on this forum. Truly inspiring. I noticed that all that I've managed to read so far is concerning generic applications. Any transition applicants? I need someone to tell me I'm not alone- Lol

Ferdre info sounds accurate. Program is 1 year and 1 semester long. Lets keep our hopes high guys!! Positive thinking and affirmation make wonders :D

Melissita I have a picture of an acceptance email from an unknown student and I see it everyday. Positive thinking affirmation and gratitude make wonders like you said. I'm the one with low science gpa, but i see myself wearing the green scrubs in 2015. I sometimes get depress, but I change my attitude to positive thinking. Lol.

Nice to know you're transitional. I have submitted my application. My science gpa is on the low side, but I'm just keeping the faith (never hurts to try). The adviser did said that they usually get less applicants for transition. Did you apply for the hsc (health care core course) waiver?

Yes BLNurse!! Picturing that you are receiving that same e-mail is the best way to call it your way =)

My GPA is not high, and not as competitive as I'd like it to be, yet I am already seeing myself wearing my scrubs and planning for January's first day of classes. I do have my hopes on two buckets though: MDC and NOVA. Good luck to you and to everyone in this forum!

Thanks Melissita and you are right. There is nothing impossible. It's all in the mind, we got this.

@Lilcubanrican- My gpd is 3.01. I've applied for my waiver, but the office says it takes 7-10 dys to get the approval. Then, they will call me to pay the $25 to have it processed. Such a gamble. I've submitted my application, but the advisor made a note on it that I was awaiting the exemption approval. They are definately going to start reviewing applications by the time my waiver is finished processing- but I'll wait any see. What's your gpa?
