Miami Dade College Spring 2015 RN Program

U.S.A. Florida

Hi all!

I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)

I recently found out about them not requiring the nln pax rn anymore by looking on the website. I'm definitely thinking about applying today or tomorrow. The only problem is that my cum gpa is a 3.02 and my science gpa is a 2.94. Hopefully somehow, some way I get in. It will be my third time applying for this program.

Hey friend I spoke to someone in class today and she said that if you have applied before they will give you a change. If they don't accept me I will keep on trying, I can't wait for this year to be over and apply in May 2015.

HI everyone :-) I just started my 1st semester of the nursing program at MDC, I know how you are feeling now but be patient and confident, you will never know the truth, don't waste your time calling advisement cause each one of them will give you a different answer that will make you feel devastated. A month will fly and very soon you will be getting good news through your emails. I wish you the best of the lucks and if you want to ask me anything I am here to help you.

Did you apply last semester?

Yurema. I have been depressed :( bc of my science gpa, I'm taking intro to health at medical campus and I see everyone in the program, also they start talking about people been accepted with a good GPA last semester.

It's been so hard for me getting good grades and the type of student that study hard and never cheat. Average student with a few As and Bs. Two C in my science screwed up my gpa so bad. I want to be in already. I have to wait until January to apply. I don't have any hope with Nova since my science GPA is 2.79. MDC is my only hope and Broward College but I prefer MDC, what are you choices ? :

Nln pax is no longer required at MDC to apply to any of the nursing programs... ;-) at least not for now

Thanks God at least for now, but that test was a big help for student with low gpa to balance everything up.

Anyways i how it stays like that

Don't feel bad I also have a bad gpa but I still have hope that's there's a spot for me :) and there's also people with low gpa in the program as well so everything will be okay just have hope & faith.
