HCC Applicants for Spring 2010

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Hi all, I applied to the nursing program at HCC for spring 2010 and I was wondering if there is anybody who might have done the same thing. At this point I'm extremely anxious trying to find out if I got accepted or how long will it take for them to decide it??? Does anyone know anything???? I appreciate any replies. :uhoh21:

At orientation today, someone mentioned that you can log on and use your SS# to check on your background check. Can someone give me that link? Thanks

Anybody have any thoughts or comments about the nursing orientation?

Other than the **** test, I'm pretty sure the rest of the information could have been put into an email...

This is a message to all the Southshore nursing students. Check your Hawknet email. Our professor emailed us about meeting next week.

This message is for all the NP1 Southshore nursing students that will be attending the Southshore campus starting Jan. 2010. There will be an Open House on Wed., Dec. 9th from 11am-2pm to meet with our Professor and clinical instructors. We will be touring the lab and learning about what texts we will need. It says that a light lunch will be provided. Hope to see you all there.

I just got an acceptance letter today for Plant City. I was wondering in anyone could tell me what the approximate cost of the 1st semester would be?

Were you an alternate and just now found out?

Yes, I was an alternate and just found out Monday

I paid $1,033 for tuition. I have gotten most of my books from previous editions sold on line for a fraction of the course. However, people whom I know who purchased books at school, I would say easily $700-or so if you get the online/hardcopy packet ($553 approx) then other books, then factor in about $125 for about 2 sets of uniform and tennis. Shots cost me about $325 for MMR/Varicella titer, diptheria/tetorifice shot, polio shot, varicella shot, hep B 1st shot, tb test, physical.

Then about$20 for stethescope, $10 for 2 pen lights etc so total looks like around $2100 or $1800 if you have all of your shots.

Where can we find the information re book list?n Thanks

Do we need to get the titers, or just record of the immunization at some point?
