that makes 3 so far, only 47 more to go?

Anyone know how many applied? This was my first time applying, I was so nervous! I just submitted my official acceptance letter. So excited!

I have heard that around 200 usually apply, but I am not sure about this semester! I am so excited that you replied!! I am hoping that more do soon!

I just went today and did the urine drug test and it took me almost 2 hours b/c they were SO busy, but I met two other gals! I was nervous too and this was also my first time applying!!

Yay! Sorry Euphonicus about making a new thread. I replied and didn't hear back and wanted to try and put the whole school name and see if that made a difference, but not really..LOL~!

No problem at all! I took my UA yesterday as well, I slipped in between the rush times. I think there were 6 or 7 who came in right after me.

I was really nervous too, also first time applying. I was pre-pharmacy previously, but after spending a lot of time at work with the nursing staff, my eyes were really opened to what nursing is actually like (I was pretty clueless about the field before). I just missed the February deadline, so I had ten months to let the nerves build up :nailbiting:.

I am really nervous b/c I have NO experience in the medical field at all other than my whole family is in the medical field and I visit them or hear stories, but def not enough to prepare me for this!!

Do you guys have everything done? I only have pharmacology left and know I can take it online, but I don't want to overwhelm myself with the first semester, so I might just wait and take it over the summer via online.

10 months...yikes!!! I have been going back and forth the last couple of years about applying. I have been a stay at home mom for 7 years so this is a big step! I just decided in July to go forth with it and I am so glad I did:up:

I wanted to get in last Friday to take my UA, but my son's bday party was this weekend and I was so busy finishing up I didn't have the time, so I'll be doing it this Friday. I went ahead and registered to take my CPR class as well. I'll be taking it on the 9th. I wanted to go ahead and do it so I wasn't rushed.

This is my first time applying too, and was really nervous about getting in. I already have a degree in Criminal Justice, and wanted to apply last February. I wasn't able to though, because in Indiana, where I moved here from last year, A&P is only worth 3 credits, so I had to take just the lab to make up that 1 credit difference. I still have A&P lab and Micro to do, but I will do them over the summer. I was really worried not having those done would stop me from getting in the program!

Wow that's awesome! Yeah I think we should all stick to taking our classes in the summer as it might be too much in the spring.

My advice is to go early in the morning for the UA b/c if you go around 10-noon it gets really busy. There were a ton of people ahead of me, but they waited until they had at least 4 students in order to call us back. I didn't get that as I figured I would be in and out, but then sat and sat around and then went back with the 4 other gals and then had to wait a little longer to fill out paperwork and for each of us to do the test.

And that's good to know you have a son! I have three little girls and was worried about being able to do nursing and spend time with them. So I am glad to know I am not the only parent!! I have a degree in Interior Design (I know so far between the two..lol), but I have always wanted to do this but my dad (being in the medical field) really discouraged me. But here I am and I am super excited to fulfill my goal!

I need to update my CPR. Thanks for mentioning it! Where are you going to do it?

Oh good to know. I might have to wait until afternoon than because I am suppose to help out in my sons class that morning. I might have to go in the afternoon, at least they are open until 4. I figured I could go right after I drop them off, then be back in time for the class party.

I actually have two little boys, 4 and 7. I am nervous about keeping up with them and everything with school. My ex husband lives in Indiana, so I don't have much help from him, but luckily my parents are willing to help as much as they can. I'm sure it will be harder having children, but I also think they give that much more of a push, because I am doing this just as much for them as I am for myself.

I am going to take it through the American Heart Association. Its on the 9th, from 800-1130. I'm taking the first one on this list.
