did UF cancel rn-bsn

U.S.A. Florida

Hey all! I'm about to start my 2nd semester at FCCJ and am thinking about where I want to complete my bsn. I've looked on UF's website for the RN-BSN page and it just has something about the summer 2008 RN-BSN program not being offered. Does anyone know if has resurfaced? The only threads I can really find on here are for accelerated BSN programs. Thanks in advance!

best way to get the right answer is to call UF and ask them, good luck

You might want to stay at FCCJ/FSCJ.....I just spoke with the Dean this morning. They are currently considering an online RN-BSN option. That could be really cool!:twocents:

UCF has an online RN-BSN program.

Yes, UF has suspended the RN-BSN program indefinitely due to state budget cuts.

wow! thank you for actually answering my question

there are some VA RN-BSN students at UF right now, but I think that is ending after this semester as well

I'm not sure where ya'll get your information, but the UF-BSN program will NOT be canceled. This is from the UF school of Nursing website "I am happy to report that this alternative is no longer being considered. We will continue to offer our excellent BSN program at the University of Florida. "

Dov we aren't talking about the bsn program... we are talking about the rn-bsn program; on the uf nursing website it says that it was put on hold for the summer of 2008 and no other information is available. im already attending fccj for my rn but wanted to finish up at uf which is why i asked the question... looks like ucf will go from my #2 to my #1 choice.

My apologies, I did not catch that the first time around.

The last ASN to BSN class was Spring 2008. There were only a handful of students - I want to say between 8 and 11. It just wasn't a financially viable program.
