I trust no one!! I don't care if they are the best and most reliable source. I do not trust anyone, not even the DON. The reason is that evey time I have confided in the "trustworthy" person at my job, it always bites me in the rump. After learning my lesson a few times, I learned to keep all of my personal info private. You have two choices here. You can go straight to the DON and nip it in the bud or tell the "trust worthy" person thanks and ignore it. Remember these are your coworkers not your friends. My rule is if they don't sign my paycheck, I take what they say with a grain of salt. .
I was just like you when I was brand new. I wanted everyone to like me. Well, guess what? I got more work dumped on me more times and was always being blamed for something. The straw that broke the camels back was when a nurse was fired for not going her job and she blamed me. The other nurses said I should give her some money since I got her fired. I had no clue what they were talking about. I went to the DON and she said that the nurse that was fired told her that I would do her wound care. I never said that. I couldn't believe it. That's what finally toughened up my skin. It took three years to finally learn TRUST NO ONE!!

I hears through the grapevine that my job, which Is the first nursing job as an LPn I've ever had, is currently "looking" into me for suspecting me of not giving meds to some of my patients. I'm scared because I do give my meds! What can I do? Will they report me to the board for investigation?
