I made an 88 on the last exam and I am pregnant and I do have that decent grade, I am not failing, but these last weeks before I graduate feel as though I am in a torture chamber. Maybe because I have never completed anything in my life, I am balking at doing this all the way. it's what I want and I know it. i;m excited about my new life ahead, but I am also dragging my heels when I have to do a careplan and moaning baout more than I am actually working. I have wasted hours here at this very website rather than focus on my tasks at hand.
What I want to know is:
is this common? Or am I a fruitloop.
Well, OK I know I am a fruitloop, but has anyone else experienced this?

Common, common, common!!!!
What you are going through is TOTALLY normal!
My last few weeks of school, I drove everyone crazy!
I couldn't sleep, I couldn't eat, all I did was cry and worry- worry and cry!
I put off my last care map for like 3 weeks, and then when it was time for the final test, I couldn't concentrate enough to study!
You'll get through it!
Just make yourself put that nose to the grindstone and get it done!
And congratulations (early though it may be!)
Misty

geek,
I graduated a few weeks ago. The last quarter, I knew I was so close to graduating but I could not be motivated. We had like four papers to write and I would put them off to the last possible moment. I could have have gotten even a better grade than I did if I really applied myself. I just wanted to graduate but I didn't do the final work that was required.
I feel for you but I tell you graduation day will come soon for you and you will be thankful that it's all over. Just a little while longer!

I felt the exact same way the last 4 weeks!
Just do what you have to do so you can celebrate!
Hang in there!

I totally know where you're coming from. I am finished in 11 short weeks, and the amount of work we have to do this last quarter is tremendous. It doesn't help that it's summer and I want to be out having fun! We will get through it.....

Diagnosis : Severe preocupation RT apathy secondary to "senioritis" AEB inability to concentrate, late assignments and overall don't give a crap attitude.
Common in graduating students... only known cure: graduation.
Nursing Interventions:
Kick self in butt regularly.
Visit with friends on strategies to help each other.
Don't worry about it.... just get it done.
Prognosis-- good
Hang in there!!

Fourbirds, could not have said it better myself!!! I must say I had a bad case of that, it is called just being completely over all the crap! You know that the end is drawing near and your chain can no longer be yanked, you MUST rebel!!! But really, get done what needs to be done, you don't have much longer...good luck and get ready to study hard!!! Hang in there, you have accomplished alot and the payoff will be coming you way soon.

I think the instructors expect the senioritis to set in. The last semester was not as tough as the others but we all made it. For my last seminar, I told friends that the point of the seminar was to check our pulse and LOC. DOnt worry. You are not alone.
