How to stick with your gutt

Hello everyone,

I am taking my NCLEX this upcoming Thursday. I have studied content until it's running from my ears. I feel 95% confident in that area, and it shows in most of my questions.

However, my weakness now is in sticking with my gutt on answers I KNOW are right, but talk myself out of. I just cost myself 6 points on a Lippincott test I took. 2 more questions I changed my answer from the right one to a wrong one! Boy, when can I learn to just stop meddling for my own good.

So my question is to all of you great helpers out there, does anyone have any good advice for me? Other than STOP DOING IT :) , any further strategies regarding not changing answers or sticking with the gutt feeling?

I greatly appreciate any insight in my last few days studying.

God Bless,

Jacel

Stop worrying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all had the same problem in my graduating class. We all obsessed about how to stop this. We all passed the NCLEX. Now get some sleep and pat yourself on the back for graduating! I offer you congrats on a job well done.:biggringi

Jacel311,

Just wanted 2 let U know that I will B praying 4 a successful Thursday when U take your NCLEX. I know that U can do it and so does everyone here at allnurses. Don't worry so much (I know easier said than done). Remember 2 not study 2 days prior 2 your NCLEX day. U will need that time 4 rest & relaxation. THose 2 days.... do something relaxing because that is the time that your brain cells need to have "bedrest" 2 prepare 4 your NCLEX day. Take advantage of your breaks during NCLEX. I remember that I told myself 2 take a "brain" break if the computer continues after 75 Q's. After the computer continued after 75 Q's, I took a "brain" break to do some stretches, take a H20 break, and to relax my brain. After taking my break, the computer shut off at either 84 or 86 Q's and after waiting 48 hours; I found out that I passed boards and saw my RN # on the BON website. U can do it!!! PM me anytime and look forward 2 hearing your successful post of passing boards!!!!!!!
