hello, i'm sure you all have "been there and done that", when it comes to the teas test. however i need your help!! i have been out of school for several years now and i have just decided to pursue nursing, simple right? wrong! i have to take the teas test in order to enter into the program. the only problem is that although i was an honors math student, i have been exposed to a math class in a very long time. i need tips, website, hope and whatever you can give me. i need to pass!!

it's been awhile and sure there is updated info by now. you will get a better response if you post in nursing student board or graduate nurse board. all the best!!!!

Before I took my TEAS test, I took two years of prereqs for the nursing

program. It had been 20 yrs since I opened a text book. I did well

in my prereqs and got mostly As. When it came time to schedule my

TEAS, I got as many study books as possible and prepared for about

two months in advance. The TEAS has a study guide that is very similar

to the exam itself.

Have you already taken all the required prereqs for the nursing program?

well as far as the prerequisite, there are none. it’s a one year accelerated lpn program. so that’s why i was wondering what would be the best way to prepare myself.

hey britney was it very difficult? brittany is my bestfriends name!!!

I didn't do so well on the Teas, but I got into an RN program at my local community college anyway. It wasn't really hard at all. I just studied off of the Teas book they sold at the school bookstore. When I took the test, I had been out of school for two years. My strongest area was in English because I've an English degree from my previous life. Scored quite low in math and science to be honest...down in the 80s, I believe, and I'm probably being generous. Just study hard. Mind you, a lot derives from common sense, so if you've got that, you've already got an advantage. Good luck.
