I'm an lpn trying to go on and further my education. I'm based in southeast ga about 30 minutes from jacksonville and I'm looking to do the excelsior lpn to rn program. I need to work full time for benefits but I still want to go to school. I started hearing mixed reviews about excelsior and I am just wondering if I do lpn to rn if there is a college out there with an online rn to bsn program that will except my degree from excelsior or if I shpuld start looking for another program. Please help. Thank you

I'm thinking that you mean "accept" rather than "except."
And you can determine yourself if a program will accept your excelsior credits by asking that program. We are not likely to have those answers for you.

Your greatest issue will be if you take EC's sciences without a lab component. Ask your program of interest, as a previous poster suggested, but make specific reference to the sciences. No program in California will accept it, though.
All that aside, hi neighbor! I did a year's contract down in Brunswick 5 years ago, and visit Saint Simons Island every chance I get! Love it! But I surely don't miss Hercules.

If they accept degrees from accredited schools, then they should accept an Excelsior degree.
As noted, the exception would be most schools in California (due to Excelsior not being accepted there) as well as maybe having to repeat some of the science courses.

Most BSN programs exist to teach leadership and management skills. The ones that I have researched all give you a flat 60 credits for possessing an active and unrestricted nursing license. EC is accredited which is one of the main requirements for BSN schools.
