Published Nov 21, 2014
After a long and expensive Excelsior journey I found out I passed my Nclex on Wednesday. I am officially a registered nurse.

Congrats! :) Isn't that a great feeling? It's awesome to put RN after your name, wear stuff that says RN, etc. I can't wait to start my job so I can tell patients "I'm your nurse," instead of "I'm a student nurse. ___ is your RN."

I started Excelsior six years ago when I was doing long-term care. I was certain that I wanted to do Med-Surg in a hospital setting. After so many years in the nursing home, I realized that I love the geriatric patients and what we can do for them. I have posted for a house supervisor job with my current employer. Wish me luck!

You can estimate the costs using a guide from EC, it's called something like "how much will my ADN cost?" You can download it here: https://my.excelsior.edu/group/myexcelsior-publications/fees-financial-information-and-forms - just create a free MyEC account to access it.
