FCCA heartbreak

Nursing Students Excelsior

Published

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that I only passed 1 of the 2 portions of the FCCA today. :crying2:

This is my first failure with EC and I am having trouble recovering. I only BARELY failed. :poop:

I don't know what I could have done differently. I will have to reach deep down to see if I want to continue this journey.

Maybe I am still in such shock that I can't make a rational decision at this point in time. :banghead:

So close, but yet so far from where I really want to be.

Thanks for listening!! Sorry such a negative post. :sour:

Don't stop now. Please continue with the program... The end is near. Just get back on your bike and try again...

Yes, I need to air up my flat tires on my EC bike, get back on, & ride it like I was in the Tour de France. :)

I just failed 496 by 7 questions. I freaking hate this FCCA, I hate Excelsior and I regret enrolling in Excelsior aka a money drain.

The FCCA is not a collaborative effort and isn't to be discussed in any forum or with other students as per the EC academic honesty policy. I'm on a few other groups/sites and the details of the FCCA cannot be discussed there either (and 2 have NO ad revenue) for the same reason ....EC honesty policy agreed to as a condition of enrollment.

That said I truly understand the anger, frustration and defeat when you find out you didn't meet the passing score in any EC exam or class.

The strength and fortitude to study independently to prepare for these challenge exams take a lot of energy. I think it's heartbreaking if you go through an exam thinking you did ok only to get a non-passing grade in the end.

I am so sorry to hear that. I totally feel your pain. I'm not sure why the secrecy, but it is what it is and we have to move on. I think I went through all 5 stages of grief yesterday. We have to keep our heads up & put our big girl panties on (assuming you are a girl) & try again. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

Excelsior is a money hungry school and I'm sick of wasting my money here. i will not retake and will enroll in a respected nursing program.

I think it is pretty sad when you come on this forum to vent about failing and get a warning about discussing the FCCA.

It has less to do with the vent and more to do with posts that are no longer visible. We all agree to not argue with the administration decisions here - that applies to you, me, and everyone. So don't assume all that you see is all that was here. Sometimes people go a bit off the deep end in their grief. Sometimes this is not the best program for everyone, and I wish them well in their educational pursuits (but don't agree with slamming EC and thus all of us here).

With that being said, I think you all know that there is unyielding support here from a lot of people, myself included. So hang in there and drive on.

I read the posts last night before edited and didnt think it was an argument. I thought the user was just asking a question about it, but hey best of luck to that person and whatever journey they continue on.
