Close to Enrolling... so close!

I have the enrollment form filled out, ready to fax. I'm starting to get nervous!! In the last 3 months, I have worked on pre-requisites: Eng101, Math, Human Growth & Development, and Information Literacy. I also took a Medical Terminology class. I had really wanted to complete Microbiology, Health Safety, and Transitions before Oct 1, but it's not going to happen.

My thoughts alternate between fear of actually DOING IT versus why didn't I enroll a year ago?! The big changes about to take effect Oct 1 have been my incentive (mandate!) to do it now! I took my sciences more than 5 years ago, and I don't want to lose those credits.

So now, standing at the edge of the pool, dangling my toes in the water is about to end! The October 1 deadline is the fast approaching big bully that is about to shove me into the water!!

Who else is ready to start this wild ride??!!

I wrote Excelsior, and found they responded quickly to the question, what happens if I enroll after oct 1. Found it didn't affect me since I had classroom based classes, and CLEP'ed most everything.

Might want to ask, but still move quickly to completion.

FYI, I enrolled already, but to beat price JUMP a couple months ago, and preregister for exams(limit was 4).

    good luck,

Ms Piggy, I've got the paperwork ready to send... gotta do it this week! We CAN do it!!!!

PaParamedic, I should have probably done the same, to beat the price increase... I was in the midst of 5 classes, 4 of which were pre-reqs, and I wanted to finish those before 'starting the clock' on enrollment.

    WE CAN DO THIS!!!!

I enrolled in February of this year and only have LS3, the FCAA and CPNE to go! The first step is to enroll, helped me realize I better do this so I don't lose my money. I can't believe that I am this close to finishing. Excelsior was the only why I could get my RN license. I work with someone who is going to a B&M school which is not accredited and she won't be done till December of next year! She is going to one of those "nursing" schools that seemed to have popped up everywhere and paying much more then I am plus going to classes four days a week. If she decides to go on to get her BSN the University's here will not accept most of her credits since the school is not accredited. Excelsior is accredited and you can also get your BSN with them. You did the right thing by enrolling.

Good for you, Peterjoy... you are getting SO close!! This is definitely the best route for me, too... getting into a B & M school would take forever. We have a 'sponsored' Nursing program where I work, but they only start people in it once a year, in Aug or Sept... heck, I could be DONE by that time next year!

Keep us posted on your progress!!
