Tomorrow is the first day...

Hey Guys

Well here it goes....I applied at An Area hospital Trauma 1 as a critical care tech. Got the gig !!! So psyched. Anyway, my goal is to become an ER nurse when I grauated Rn school next May (04)

So I figured why not get in to make sure this is what I want to do? Tomorrow is the BIG DAY! I will be precepting of course, for six weeks! Is that the norm length? I went in for my orientation to the floor last week and loved it!!

But I just wanted to say that I am SO NERVOUS and PSYCHED.

So wish me luck guys! If you have any words of advice........

My first day was Amazing!!

I have the best preceptor. ON my very first day I learned how to set up an A- line and pluera-vac!

I did, however, see a three month old die from SIDS

that was hard...... But all in all everything went grrrreat! Im excited to go back tomorrow!!

Keep us up to date on your adventure. I have been an ER RN for 8 years and was a tech for 3 year before that. It will be nice to hear your excitement about things that seems mundane to us old-timers
