Hi!

Has anyone applied to the uconn cein for 2015? The first application deadline was Jan 31st. If you did apply have you heard anything yet??

I'm just anxious to find out.

Hi everyone, does anyone know what the potential clinical sites are for Stamford and Waterbury?

Hi AllaboutNursing2:

I can only comment on what we've been offered this year on the Stamford campus. We had the Stamford Hospital and YNHH as options every semester (except Psych). Norwalk Hospital was also in the mix during the first semester and St. Mary's was in the mix for Maternity. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the response. Do you know if we get to choose the location of the clinical or is it assigned? I live next to New Haven and would love to be get Yale. Thanks for the information, it's very helpful.

Almost everybody in our class who lived closer to New Haven were able to sign up for Yale if they so chose. I mean, it can't be guaranteed of course and maybe you will not get it every semester, but overall we had a say in what we want.

Got a call today - apparently Stamford was the only open campus left, and even though it's literally the farthest from where I live of course I accepted! I also asked to go on the wait list for Storrs and Avery Point as well.

Got my acceptance letter today for Stamford!! So excited! It, too, was dated for the 26th but I honestly don't think they sent it around then.

Congratulations to everyone who has been accepted so far. I was accepted to the Avery Point campus and can't wait to start. Going to be a tough 2015 but definitely worth the hard work.

Yes congrats to everyone! I got another call today that a spot opened up at Avery Point, so I'll be down there for January instead of Stamford! :)

That's great congrats! I can't wait to start. Avery Point is a beautiful campus. Definitely excited to drive north and not south through all the traffic to the other campuses. Before you know it orientation will be coming up and then we'll start first week of January. Very exciting.

Hi! I just got provisionally accepted to Waterbury (I'm taking micro now). Does anyone know what day/days of the week classes are held there? How far in advance do we know our schedule? I have 2 small kids, so I'm trying to figure out how best to arrange childcare. Fortunately, childcare will be my mom and in laws, but I am hoping to let them know what I'm going to need. Thanks in advance for any help! Congrats to all who got in!

Online in the FAQs for CEIN I believe it said Waterbury classes were on Fridays 8am to 6:30pm. Definitely double check, but I remember thinking they were the same day as mine at Avery Point (also Fridays).

It does say it on the FAQ's like heb said. I can't wait for orientation.
