I was hoping to continue a great thread that I read last year, Ready to Apply CT Colleges 2009. It was a bunch of people looking to get into the CT Community Colleges nursing program for 2009-2010 academic year! They really banded together and answered questions for each other.
I was hoping to start the same thing for this year.
So, applications for the 2011-2012 year come out in just over a month. November 1st!!!
What has everyone been doing to prepare for the application process. What classes are you currently taking? Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? What was your score? What school is your 1st choice?
Speak up people!
Oh, I didn't even realize there was a do not accept checkbox. BHSN was different in that you only signed and returned the letter if you accepted. Guess I never made it passed the congratulations page. :) Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks for the congrats as well! I am really looking forward to it.
TWO? THATS IT?I was hoping for more too. At this rate- I'll never make it into class for the 2010/2011.
It made me really sad too : ( I wanted to ask a million more questions - like have you gotten through all the accepted students' replies yet, or are there more to be processed, or is there ANY chance at all, etc. but I was too disheartened to ask more for fear that it would just be worse. I'm just really surprised that it didn't move more based on what students from previous years are saying. I'm willing myself to be patient. Not working so well... is it?~?
Orourkco... I know how you feel - it's an awful feeling & an entirely helpless one too! I'm sending you patient vibes... hopefully there's good news at some point!!
There will also be people that don't register on time, don't get their health forms completed, don't fulfill their CPR requirements and such. I'm so sorry that you're all left waiting and hoping, I do wish the best for all of you that acceptances are coming for you soon.
Anyone else checking out this thread that will attend Three Rivers in the fall? I'm looking forward to the orientation next week to get more information, and to meet up with future classmates.

Good luck to you as well, I'm sure that your decision will work out for the best for you. Not to be a nit-picker, but you could also send back the acceptance letter declining the slot, so they can notify those waiting a little sooner. Again, congrats and good luck with your program.
