Ready to Apply CT Community Colleges- Nursing Program 2012

U.S.A. Connecticut

ooops... The other one had 2011 instead of 2012... let's try this again:

Just thought I would start a new thread for the current application cycle. Questions... stats... rumors... etc!

My question is... for those applying this cycle, how did you do on the TEAS V? Since this is the first year they are using this test, it would be nice to see how everyone is doing.

(Please don't post TEAS 3 or TEAS 4 results, as the scores are NOT comparable with the TEAS V.)

@CNAnursingstudent: she's back today, let me know if you went to see her? I'm gonna be there tomorrow morning to sign up for class and annoy yer to change my major. It's really strange how they do all that....but whatever. Also, I wanted to ask you if you were getting an A in micro?

I was walking out of my last class and BAM! She was walking out of her office off to her car. Now mind you, if she's off the clock she will not talk to you.

Sorry didn't finish.... So I was going to follow her but I realized she wouldn't talk to me. 'stalker status' lol but go see her tomorrow try going early cause I believe she leaves at 2. I'm gonna call her tomorrow.

I took micro in the last fall and I got a B+

Hahaha stalker! That stinks that she's leaving at 2, are you kidding me?!?!?! Shell never get it done till may 1st lolOh well I'll stop by tmrw at 8am :)Oh I thought u were in my class... I remember there was someone who's in my class... Sorry about that

That's not very nice, I talked to her once in Jan and won't ever do it again unless I absolutely have too, so I'm hoping our statuses change soon;)

Nursewannabe, I'm in your class, and this is how I feel right now:bugeyes:. I'm holding on tight to my B. I'm also taking A&PII and next week we have the quiz, exam and I also have an A&P exam, oh and I have to start my research for my A&P presentation for Friday, bonkers!!!

Thanks saramisu & mssjez. Yeah, I know there is no rush as I'm guaranteed a spot since I handed in my letter, I'm just trying to take care of things as they happen and can be taken care of, to make sure I don't miss a critical step and lose my spot...again.

I totally see where you're coming from! Better safe than sorry! I guess keep an eye on your major on Bannerweb and when it changes you can register? If it doesn't work at that point, I'd contact the Nursing counselor, if majors aren't changed by the end of the week... I think we should call and bug registrar haha. They did list the books for NUR101 if you look at the courses and then click on 'textbook info'. It's not cheap but I was expecting worse. In January I looked at the spring semester books (which would be our second semester) and it was a couple hundred more :( ugh!

Just as expected, can't register:mad:

haha I knew it! so far nobody registered lol...hopefully they change it till the dateline to register for classes, otherwise we will all lose the spot and the whole waitlist will be accepted...I'm wondering if the students last year had the same issue...it's really strange how the whole process works....I feel like getting the acceptance letter was only 20% of the stress, the real stress starts with the letter....haha lucky us!

@allforthekids and @CNAnursingstudent: why are you saying that about the lady? Is she really so rude? and allforthekids, why are you saying you don't want to talk to her until you absolutely have to? did you have a bad experience talking to her? I can imagine that she's very stressed out, she's the only one who does the whole thing, I guess...

well the bad thing is now that we don't know when they are gonna change everyones major and when they officially start the registration....and that's not good because some of us might miss it and won't be able to register for what they wanted...

The letter from CCC said that we have until orientation (June 15th) to register for NUR*101 and until that date comes and we haven't registered, we won't lose our spots. The letter of intent secures our spots until the orientation deadline. What did you're school say was the deadline for registration?

haha I knew it! so far nobody registered lol...hopefully they change it till the dateline to register for classes, otherwise we will all lose the spot and the whole waitlist will be accepted...

For those who are worried about registration...this may ease your worries. I am going to TRCC in the fall, and I happened to look at my copy of the letter of intent form we are supposed to send in to hold our nursing seat. On that form it says when we may begin registering for classes. Mine says "You may begin registering for classes May 9th, and must be registered for Nur 101 by June 1st". So if you can locate that form (if you made a copy) it may say that for you all as well. My student information still lists me a general studies, but I was told from several different people at the college that they will be changing it over...you guys should be just fine (: I was worried about why I couldn't register right now, until I saw that form that states a specific date when I can...

@ksogliero: haha yes, but the NVCC form says APRIL 25th!!! and the deadline to register is June 1st, and that's why we are so worried....unless I am missreading things...but all the other students from NVCC are saying the same things here ad yesterday in my micro class....and that's why we were online at midnight :) I guess your school does it later..maybe NVCC also and they just wrote down the wrong date in the intend letter...yea..maybe that's it!
