Okay,

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail today!!

I was going totally mental with anxiety, checking this board several times a day to see when people were hearing back, compared to when they had applied and what their stats were. I was also very nervous about how I had done on the TEAS, so I wanted to post my info to help other people a little. Here are my stats:

I applied to the school January 4th, 2010. I took the TEAS January 23rd, 2010.

Previous BA degree in anthropology. I graduate in August of 2009 with a 3.46 cumulative GPA.

I took A&P I last fall, at Gateway: B

Developmental Psych: A

TEAS: 81.2% (mean national was 72.8% and the mean for the program 73.3%)

My adjusted individual scores were as follows:

Reading: 82.5%

Math: 82.2%

Science: 70%

English: 85.5%

In all my nervousness, I called two days ago and was told that I would likely hear back from the in school 4-6 weeks. Then I got my letter today, February 5th. For the record, my admissions essay was based on a CNA training course I took in the fall and I also think that having a previous BA really helped, especially in seeing past that nasty 70% in the science section of the TEAS.

Good luck and I hope this information was helpful, or at least of interest, to some of you!!

What time are you on 6/22?

I stopped by BHSN last week and was told we'd get tentative schedules at that point... I'm anxious about my schedule also, and would like to coordinate other classes, work, commute..etc.

Very excited too though! :)

I go June 28. I didn't know you could call to see if there are earlier appointments. I may see if I can't do that myself.

:yeah:

I will be there on June 28th, 4pm SHARP!! :yeah:

I have June 28th as well.... Getting excited!!!

I had June 22 but had to change to the 28th due to work schedule. I can't wait to see you all there!

Hi everyone, I'm scheduled for orientation on the 22nd at 9:30. I'm so excited to meet everyone!! I'm commuting from Madison and I'm planning on taking the train for school...anyone else gonna do the same? I hear the Q bridge is still a nightmare. I grew up in CT but I've been living out of state the last 12 years and recently returned. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi :)

just to give you an idea last year we had monday-off tuesday- lecture all day wednesday- lab for about 2 hours at all different times depending on your group thursday OR friday clinical (days 8-12 nights 5-9) and that is for 101 and 102 (so september through january). it changes as you go on from course to course.

Hey guys,

I'm going for Orientation on Wednesday the 29th...anybody else going that day!?! I am so excited!! :o

I attended my CPR training yesterday and one of the girls in my class is going into her second year at BHSN. She told us that the reason the school's retention rate is so high is because they readmit students who had dropped out or failed previously whenever someone else drops out to fill their spot, thus they stay booked throughout the year. It's actually pretty smart for them financially speaking but extremely misleading. So the bottom line is that 95% of students graduate...eventually.

that is still good that they just dont give up. they dont let everyone come back they have a meeting and look at when you failed out, what your overall grades were and if there was something that maybe caused you to fail. and i think the stat that you might be talking about is how many pass the nclex and that is so high because not everyone makes it to the end and the ones that do have passed and are the best candidates to pass it.

Did anyone buy the offered book package?
