Anyone know anything about this new hospital being built? Wondering how large of a facility it will be. Is it considered a smaller community hospital, or does it have plans to be a larger trauma hospital? Looks like they are hiring already.

Specializes in Peds, GI, Home Health, Risk Mgmt.

The Medical Center of the Rockies will be a 136 bed acute care facility designed to be the regional trauma center and cardiac center. It is projected to open early next year. It's a joint venture between Pourdre Valley Health Systems of Ft. Collins and the Regional West Medical Center of Scottsbluff, Neb.

Poudre Valley Hospital (255 beds) will then specialize in orthro, cancer, bariatric, and women's services.

It's part of the Poudre Valley hospital, which has exceeded it's growing space.

mom2three,

MCRis a beautiful new hospital that is already late in the hiring process. They have been orienting staff to the Poudre way of doing things for the past few months and hope to be open in Feb 2007. If you live in the area, check them out. Good luck either way.
