CU-Denver Hospital New Grad Residency Program

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Hi,

Has anybody been notified whether or not they've been selected for an interview?

Thanks!

I am so sorry e.lindsey and RNDude100...that is a bummer. Yeh I have heard of that school in Ohio because I am not too far from you. I did my program through Bethel College which is in Northern Indiana. I had an amazing experience as well. They prepared me immensely for the working world. I can't wait to go back to Colorado though because Indiana is not the greatest state to live in,especially the area I live in. It is a small town and there is not much to do around here. All my nursing friends moved away so it's quite lonely. Thankfully my husband has a full time job because otherwise money would be near existent. We would move to Colorado but why would we leave a full time job for no job??? Anyway e.lindsey I hope you are at least enjoying Colorado. There are so many things to do there so hopefully you are able to enjoy your time eventhough it may be hard not having your friends around. RNDude100 are you living in Colorado right now?? or ar you just trying to get back in like me??? By the way I thank you both for writing back to me. Honestly it keeps me busy and at least helps me to connect with other fellow new grads. Keep plugging away guys:)

I forgot to mention e.lindsey that I applied to a program in Austin, TX. I do know that Brownsville,TX hires new grads left and right and that they do have relocation assistance as well as bonus packages. My two classmates were offered a job so quickly there. Brownsville is pretty much on the border of Texas and Mexico so if you feel comfortable with the location then you may want to check it out. Good Luck:)

Specializes in Addiction & corrections, now hematology.

I'm from Colorado so I'm not completely alone but I would like to move away eventually and as with you, midwest living was not for me lol. It's a different world out there. I heard about the hospital in Brownsville and I'm not against moving away at all...I should look into it if my fall job hunt doesn't fair any better. I know there's a few hospitals doing fall new grad entries so I'm trying to wait but I'm not going to hold my breath for those...and I'm at the point where I'm looking into things I know that I don't want to at all...i.e., psych nursing.

Specializes in Cardiac.

I don't live in Colorado now. I'm in Jersey which is like another planet compared to Colorado. I used to live in Boulder

Ahhh yes it is indeed. Boulder is great, I bet you miss it. Well hopefully you will be able to go back.
