Anyone applied for UC Denver 2011 June start??

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to find out who out there has applied to UCD's accelerated program for the June '11 start date. I sent in my application at the beginning of October and have been so CRAZY nervous ever since!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: I (am fortunate enough to) have a full time job south of Denver but I am really anxious to get back into school and start this process. The wait alone may literally kill me! I already am starting to plan out my plan b,c,d....list in case I am rejected from UCD, but the biggest issue for me is getting in all the required pre-reques by the application deadlines and keep my job. I also want to stay positive and hope for the best with this application too. Any advice from those of you who have been in this same position would be fantastic!

I applied to the same program and haven't heard back from them either. I was already rejected by Regis a while back, so I am not sure if CU is still reviewing my application or they already decided that they don't want me to never bother to send me anything. Hopefully someone else can answer the question. Should I call them and find out?

if you applied for the JAN 2011 start term then YES you should call because those letters have been sent out but as for JUNE 2011 start you will be waiting awhile, they sent out the Jan letters in early October, I never got mine and I had to call!

I applied for the June 2011 term, do you know when I will be hearing from them?

Probably March or April. Last June start we didn't hear til late April and they were calling people to tell them they got in or an alternate was informed a spot opened up, everything was very rushed to try and start the term on time. There is a whole thread on it, I would read it and you can find out alot of information..

Well, I did apply (Accelerated BSN for June '11) as did many other people in my prerequisite classes. We all have BA's; I also have an MA. Many of us are taking Chemistry this semester which was allowed (as a one time opportunity) since it was added as a prerequisite so late. My transcript for Chemistry only will be sent in December; everything else was submitted in early October including past transcripts.

Haven't a clue when notificatons will come out but obviously after December for many of us taking Chemistry now.

Ugh, really?! That drives me crazy that the webiste says you will be notified between the end of November and early December. I am praying that my essay was a standout because after reading the threads from last years applicants who were rejected, it seems like you may have a better chance getting into med school than their nursing program. Yikes! I would rather just get rejected now and have more time to make my next moves for other classes and schools than wait around for another 4 or 5 months and end up on a call list. Does anyone else feel like their whole life is in limbo just waiting to get accepted/rejected?! :confused:

Its hard to say when notifications will come out as they have changed the application deadlines for applicants. I applied to the program for June 2010/Jan 2011 (it was one application for both start dates back then) and the deadline was Dec 31, 2009. After the deadline passed, I received an email saying that admission letters would come out in March 2010, but they were definately behind and letters didn't come out til late April, So hang in there!!! I'm sure they're on their way!!! :)

Also, ***** was a HUGE help throughout the admissions process and definately will be once you get accepted because its a TON of information/things to get done before school even starts. She is very prompt with responses and will probably tell you whats going on with decision letters if you were told to expect them and still haven't received them by now. I know what it feels like to be waiting everyday for that letter...so stressful!!

Hello everyone,

I also applied to UC Denver for 2011 June start, Traditional Track. I haven't heard back from them but their last email stated that we should get our decision letters by late April. I really hope they don't take long. I'm so anxious to know if I have been accepted or rejected.:confused: Have any of you received any information?

I applied for the June start as well but I have not heard anything back yet. Was that email with the April estimate a mass generic email or was it a direct response to an email that you had sent? I sent in an email asking about the timing about a week ago so if I hear anything, I will update the group.
