Nursing Students CNA/MA

Hey everyone!
So now that I have my CNA license...should I apply for jobs now or wait until January? I just got a job as a dishwasher just to make money now. I heard its best to wait after the holidays to apply for jobs, true?

mvm,
I really want to work at a rehab center, and one day I will. But I cannot be too picky. Came across an ad for companions and homemakers, 2 day overnights $140/day. Would it be good to start doing overnights as a new CNA though?

If it is for an agency then I'd say yes if you don't have commitments like having children then there are always shifts that can be found for 3rd shifters.. But if it is more like private care I'd watch it very carefully. Working for agencies you can have liability coverage which will protect you if something goes wrong, but you won't have that if you are working for yourself. Also you have support staff like doctors and nurses at your disposal if you think anything is wrong with your clients. With private care you won't have such resorces to help you. After all we CNA have the very, very minimum health care knowledge and experiance. I can not tell you how many times I was glad to be able to call work and ask to talk to the nurse about something I see in my clients that I feel needs to be adressed by someone with better knowledge then wat I have.
By the way thank you nurses for being you and for my support and backbone where I can do my job well and safely.
