Signed Up for CNA Class

Nursing Students CNA/MA

Published

I just recently signed up for a fast track 8 day CNA class. 52 hours in class and 12 in clinicals. How hard is a CNA class? What are good websites to look at to prepare for the class information/skills wise? How hard are the skills?

I'm currently on my last week of EMT-B class. If anyone has any experience with that, how hard is CNA compared to that?

Thanks!

Shannon

actually we go to class 21 days...its 3 days a week 9-4 for 7 weeks.40 hours of clinical.

oh yea i forgot to mention I am older(41) I havent been in school for 24 yrs,but so far my exam scores are 100,100,100,96,100. Yes the class is quite easy, but I do enjoy it being this long,we cover a LOT of material. thanks,God bless

daimere, how are you/ i just wanted to know where are you taking this class and how much does it cost? b/c im also interested in taking a CNA class.

thanks

When I read the posters definition of "fast track" I thought it was the same course that I took.. I guess my course is "on speed" fast track, because it is 1 six hour course, and basically a trained nurse goes over all of the skills required to pass the state exam. And it is not as expensive as the other courses. I took the course last week and I scheduled myself to take my exam on the 14th. I am pretty confident about the test, and I am practicing all of my skills with the help of notecards. All the state exam requires is you to memorize the steps according to your state's handbook. The written portion of the exam is just studying the CNA workbook. Once you pass, you are on the registry. It is that simple.

Good luck to all!

Ellen
