Poo everywhere!

Oh just one of those nights.....;)

Well, I'm just changing careers, from being an airline pilot to nursing. Anyway, this one time (not at band camp), after all the passengers got off the plane, one of the flight attendants came running from the back of the plane saying "oh my gosh, do not go in the aft lavatory." Well of course, I had to look, and it looked like someone had exploded in there. There was poo all over the place. It even went way up the walls. Needless to say, that plane went out-of-service for some time. The maintenance people had to remove all the panels from the lavatory to clean and sterilize everything.

Ok Have To Add My Funny Story Of Poo. Had A Patient, An Extremely Large Woman Who Had Alzheimers. She Had To Be Restrained At Night Because She Would Forget She Couldn't Walk. Well Lo And Behold Found Her In The Bathroom One Night, Yep She Had Escaped Her Restraint And Walked To The Bathroom. Well She Had The Worst Diarrhea I Have Ever Seen, I Tried To Get Her Back In The Bed But She Fell, Right In My Lap!!! Continuing To Wiggle (she Was Over 300 Lbs.) And Me Trying To Get Up. They Ended Up Calling Ems To Help Lift Her Off Me. So Here I Was Covered In Poop In My Hair, All Over My Clothes And Ems Had A Field Day Cracking Up!! Walked To The Showers With All My Clothes On And Worked Half The Night Till Laundry Washed My Uniform In A Patients House Dress! Never Lived That One Down.

Last night for me was a very poo filled night. I had an entire wing to myself, and every single resident (about 20) had this awful yellow mucousy diarrhrea all night long. I ended up all night long just going up and down the rooms and changing everyone up and down the rows. On top of that two residents have confirmed cases of C. Dif. and one had MRSA so I had to gown, glove, and mask up before I could enter any rooms. What a night!
