Hi dose anyone have a video of how to do a bed pan.I know how to get pt on it but how do you take the pan from under them out.

I don't know of a video to watch, but the best thing to do before removing the bedpan is to lower the bed back down and have the client lift their bottom up and remove the bed pan while they are lying down. Be sure not to whip it out from under them... as it might splash on you.

Hi jennifer i take my exam on tuesday.i know some what how you are feeling.good luck to you .let me know how you do, and what skill you get I will be praying for you tonight.i am in texas i know here we will get five skill and we can only miss one...Good Luck let me know how you do.

Thank you. I really need to go to bed but I'm just sitting here worrying about what could go wrong tomorrow.

I took the course in July. So it has been a while since I've reviewed this stuff. I'm just afraid I'll miss something or my mind will go totally blank.

I'm sure we will both do fine! I'll let you know how it goes. I should find out right away. I'm in Minnesota... we get 5 skills too... one is definitely hand washing.

Take care!

Good luck to everybody! I'm sure you both will do great. I start my classes Monday... I'm sure I'll have a ton of questions then.:yeah:

Thank you for thinking of me. I passed! Woohoo! I was really nervous about the skills part but it went really well. I also got to take the skills before the written test and that was nice because I got it over with...

My evaluator was really nice. I had 5 skills which were.... handwashing, denture care, ambulating a client from bed to wheelchair, pericare on a female, and respirations.

If you just take it slow and go over the steps you will do fine. I fumbled a few things... be recovered and she was really easy going about it...

(I forgot to put on gloves for the pericare and realized it right when I was ready to start the skill)... so I just put the client's bed down and went and got my gloves...

Good luck to you (and everyone too)! Let us know how it goes!!
