how much do you make a year?

where do you work at?

I'm in WA as well and I am a brand new CNA with no experience. I got a job in a skilled nursing/rehabilitation facility (really nice place, brand new) and I am starting at $11.25/hr. And they are willing to work around my school schedule too.

I'm surprised at some of these wages! I'll be starting as a PCA in a couple of weeks at $10/hour with NO experience, just certification, and I'll be doing way less than a CNA (1 client at a time, no medical procedures etc)!

Specializes in Geriatric and Mental Heath.

Central Florida, new hire 7.50 bumped up to 7.67. 1 year exp. ALF

When I got hired as a CNA in 2010 I got 8.50 hourly with MA certification inMichigan. Some weeks I only got 10 hours, 85 before taxes. I couldn't even buy gas most weeks.

My first job as a cna was in 2001 they startied me off with 8.25 no experience at a ltc facility. I worked there five years and when i left i was making 11.05. I am now workin at a hospital almost 6 years started off 10.02 and an up to 14.62 also with my cna II license. I am in north carolina

NC CNA II in medical-surgical oncology/transfusion unit. No CNA experience, but I am a third semester nursing student. I will be working second shift (1400-2200) with the possibility of floating to third (2200-0600) or first (0600-1400). My starting salary will be $9.54/hr with a $0.75-$1.00 extra per hour. After three months, my salary will increase to $9.89/hr with the differential. If I cover a shift I don't normally work, third or first, I will get an extra $4.00/hr.

With my differential, I will be making anywhere from $10.29-$10.54/hr for the first three months. After that, I will be making anywhere from $10.64-$10.89/hr. I will be working anywhere from 24-32 hours per week, so that's $11,854.08 per year at $10.29/hr and $12,257.28 per year at $10.64/her (using 24 hours per week).

I get paid min wage which is $9.50 here in WA. When I asked how much we will be getting paid during my orientation they made it sure that I would not be getting paid over min wage. I work at a LTC facility. It's grueling and even the agency people who mostly work at hospitals say it's to much for a new cna.

Actually the min wage in Wa is $9.04 not $9.50. I also live and work in Washington state.

I live and work in Washington state and work two days a week at an AFH where I do two doubles and three overnights (I get there Friday night and sleepover but my first shift doesn't begin til the next morning), and I am paid $9.50 an hour plus $25 for every night I sleep over. Not sure what that averages out to yearly, especially considering that I will at times cover other caregivers or my supervisor if they are ill or can't make it to work for some reason, then I get more which is always nice. Lol.
